Texas Rising Stars Honors Four from McGuire, Craddock & Strother for 2022

Peer lawyers in Texas have again selected McGuire, Craddock & Strother shareholders Jennifer Larson Ryback, Neill Fuquay, Jack Gannon Jr. and associate Chris Anaya among the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list of top young lawyers in Texas. 

The 2022 list recognizes Ms. Ryback for her business litigation practice. A Rising Stars honoree since 2014, Ms. Ryback also is named among the “Up and Coming 100” lawyers in Texas, as well as the “Up and Coming 50 Women Lawyers.” Her litigation practice includes handling construction disputes; defending employers against wrongful termination and wage claims; pursuing and defending breach of contract cases; and handling a variety of commercial real estate disputes. In addition, Ms. Ryback advises clients on non-litigation employment law, including employee handbooks and providing training on a number of topics, as well as negotiating executive compensation and severance agreements. 

Mr. Fuquay earned Rising Stars honors for his commercial real estate law practice. He represents property owners, investors, buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants in the acquisition, financing, leasing, operation, and sale of commercial real estate, with an emphasis on private equity investments in multifamily, retail, industrial, and office properties. He also works with clients in the formation, restructure, purchase, and sale of partnerships and limited liability companies. In addition, he represents borrowers in the negotiation of loans, loan modifications, and workouts. This is his third consecutive year to earn Rising Stars honors. 

Mr. Gannon is recognized for his banking practice, which includes representing banks in a range of lending transactions, including both real estate and commercial loans. His expertise includes corporate and business organization, employment and contractual matters. He also guides clients in various real estate matters and transactions. He has been recognized by Rising Stars annually since 2019. 

Mr. Anaya earned Rising Stars honors for his work in construction law, which includes resolving lien and payment bond cases; construction defect cases; cases involving professional liability for design professionals; and other contract disputes through litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. His experience also includes representing owners, developers, contractors, and subcontractors in contract negotiations for various types of commercial projects. This is his fifth year to be recognized by Rising Stars. 

A division of Thomson Reuters, Texas Rising Stars recognizes the outstanding work of the state’s top attorneys age 40 or younger or those who have practiced law no more than 10 years. Honorees are selected based on peer nominations, independent research and a review by separate advisory boards. The full list is published in the April 2022 issues of Texas Monthly and the Texas Rising Stars issue of Super Lawyers magazine.
