Four from McGuire, Craddock & Strother Earn Repeat Texas Rising Stars Honors

MCS lawyers Jennifer Larson Ryback, Jack Gannon Jr., Neill Fuquay and Chris Anaya have earned repeat selection to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list of top young lawyers in Texas.

Ms. Ryback is selected for her work in Business Litigation and is also honored among the Top 100 Up and Coming Lawyers in Texas and the Top 50 Up and Coming Women Lawyers. Mr. Gannon is recognized for his work in Banking, Mr. Fuquay for Real Estate, and Mr. Anaya for Construction Litigation.

A shareholder in McGuire, Craddock & Strother’s Commercial Litigation, Construction and Employment Law practice groups, Ms. Ryback counsels corporate clients on a range of employment law matters, including defending wage and discrimination claims and prosecuting trade secret claims.

She represents general contractor clients in all facets of their work—from contract negotiation to litigation. She also represents clients in contract disputes and real estate litigation. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Ryback provided guidance on a multitude of legal issues. During that time, she authored or co-authored six articles and oversaw the publication of more than 20 articles by colleagues on COVID-related issues. This is her eighth year to earn Rising Stars honors.

A shareholder in the firm’s commercial real estate, finance and corporate practice groups, Mr. Gannon works with banks and other parties in a variety of lending transactions, as well as corporate and business issues, tax, bankruptcy, estate planning, real estate and complex civil litigation. He is a shareholder in the firm’s commercial real estate, finance, corporate and securities practice groups and advises parties in matters related to the acquisition, financing, leasing, operation and sale of commercial real estate, as well as loans, loan modifications and workouts. During the pandemic, he published articles providing guidance for business clients about evolving federal Paycheck Protection Program measures. This is his second year to earn Rising Stars recognition.

Mr. Fuquay is recognized for the second time for his work representing clients in real estate transactions. He is a shareholder in the firm’s commercial real estate, finance, corporate and securities practice groups and advises parties in matters related to the acquisition, financing, leasing, operation and sale of commercial real estate, as well as loans, loan modifications and workouts.

Mr. Anaya is honored for his construction litigation practice for the fourth year. He is an associate in the firm’s commercial litigation and construction practice groups and works with clients to resolve disputes involving design defect, professional liability and contracts across a range of industries. Mr. Anaya has worked with construction industry clients to navigate COVID-19 restrictions and published three articles providing guidance regarding topics including OSHA restrictions and implications for essential workers.

The Texas Rising Stars list recognizes the outstanding work of the state’s top attorneys under the age of 40 or those who have practiced law for no more than 10 years.
