Mark was born in Jonesville, Louisiana, in 1962. Since graduating Order of the Coif from LSU Law School in 1988, Mark has practiced law in Dallas, Texas, specializing in corporate bankruptcy, debtor-creditor matters and complex commercial litigation. In 2007, Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Magazine has named him a "Texas Super Lawyer" for his work in bankruptcy law.

Mark represents clients in all capacities in bankruptcy proceedings in Texas and throughout the country. Mark’s practice includes representation of debtors, official committees, trustees and other parties-in-interest in major corporate bankruptcies involving debtors ranging from publicly traded corporations with billions in assets and liabilities to much smaller privately held companies. Mark has successfully represented debtors in Chapter 11 reorganizations in a variety of industries, including real estate, health care, retail, printing, telecommunications, software, energy and service. Mark also frequently represents clients in director and officer litigation, avoidance actions and other complex commercial litigation.
